Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you'll manage the financial operations of multiple companies, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and compliance with accounting standards. You'll be a key player in driving business growth by providing valuable financial insights, helping with budgeting, forecasting, and supporting various special projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the general ledger accounts for multiple companies, ensuring all transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Prepare and review financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Monitor financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with external auditors during audit periods.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to protect company assets.
- Support the preparation of tax returns and other necessary filings.
- Provide financial analysis and support for ad-hoc projects as needed by leadership.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred, but not required).
- At least 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally in the construction services industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with owner financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
