Job Description

General Summary
Join our dedicated team as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) where you will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing management for clients. You'll work collaboratively with therapists, medical case managers, and support staff to deliver high-quality care.

Description

In this role, you will:

Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, manage medications, and provide necessary follow-up services to ensure client well-being.
Review assessments and treatment plans at least annually, ensuring that care remains aligned with client needs.
Meet with clients quarterly to maintain strong therapeutic relationships and monitor progress.
Deliver services as a qualified mental health professional, offering compassionate care to those in need.
Document all treatments in detail within the electronic health record, adhering to Medicaid standards, Oregon Administrative Rules, and private insurance requirements.
Provide after-hours coverage for your clients to ensure their needs are met.
Review and sign assessments, Individual Service Plans (ISPs), and other documentation completed by fellow clinicians requiring an LMP signature.
Offer support and coverage for colleagues as necessary.
Additional Requirements

Comfort and experience working with diverse populations, including those facing complex psychosocial challenges and individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Strong ability to coordinate effectively with guardians, group home providers, case workers, family members, natural supports, Qualified Mental Health Associates (QMHA), Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP), and administrative staff as needed.
Participate in meetings as required.
Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual/Bicultural, especially Spanish-speaking.
Experience working with child and adolescent populations.
Familiarity with developmental disabilities.
Credentialed with Medicare.
Resident of Oregon.
