About You:

Elefant Financial is looking for a quick-learning and motivated tax preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season. This role is ideal for individuals with 7-10+ years of tax preparation experience, focusing primarily on individual returns but also covering estate and trust, corporate, and partnership returns. We are seeking professionals who possess a deep understanding of the tax process, can meet deadlines, and are dedicated to providing exceptional client service.

This is a part-time position (estimated of 20 hours per week), with the potential for additional hours depending on workload. While the role is seasonal, there may be an opportunity for it to become a recurring seasonal or on-call position, based on performance, with discussions taking place at the conclusion of the tax season (April 15th).

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual, estate, trust, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Work with clients to gather and review financial information for tax preparation.
• Provide tax planning and advisory services as needed.
• Meet filing deadlines with accuracy and thoroughness.

What You Bring:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Active CPA or EA designation required.
• 7-10+ years of experience in preparing income tax returns.
• Proven ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with colleagues and clients.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Proficiency in ProSeries and QuickBooks software required.
• Extensive experience with a variety of tax filings, including individual, partnerships, S Corporations, C Corporations, Trusts, Estates, and multi-state returns.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, LogMeIn.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a seasonal position offering a competitive hourly rate of $40-$55, depending on experience. While benefits are not included for this position, flexible working arrangements and potential long-term growth opportunities are available.
